Weber State Men’s Basketball Hosts Idaho Monday evening

OGDEN, Utah-Monday, Weber State men’s basketball (4-8, 0-1 in Big Sky Conference play) ensues in its Big Sky Conference season by hosting Idaho (4-8, 0-1 in Big Sky play) with the Wildcats and Vandals sporting symmetrical records.

In his 14th season at the helm of the Wildcats’ program, head coach Randy Rahe (270-161, .626) remains the winning-est coach in both Big Sky and Weber State history.

The Wildcats score 72.3 points per game, ranking them 173rd nationally in scoring offense.

Senior guard Jerrick Harding, the preseason Big Sky player of the year, (21.2 points, 3.4 rebounds per game, a team-best 26 assists) continues to be the Wildcats’ overall leader.

Senior guard Cody John (11.6 points per game, tied for a team-best 10 steals with freshman guard Judah Jordan) is the only other Wildcat to score in double figures on-average.

Junior guard Kham Davis posts a team-best 4.9 rebounds per game and redshirt freshman forward-center Tim Fuller leads the Wildcats with 12 blocked shots.

Weber State gives up 69.6 points per game, ranking the Wildcats 193rd nationally in scoring defense.

The Vandals are coached by Zac Claus who is 4-8 (.333) in his first season leading the program at Moscow, Idaho.

Idaho scores 67.1 points per game, ranking the Vandals 284th nationally in scoring offense.

Senior guard Trevon Allen (18.5 points, 4.7 rebounds per game), sophomore guard BJ Simmons (10.7 points) and junior forward Scott Blankney (10.6 points per game, a team-best 7 blocked shots) all score in double figures on-average this season for the Vandals.

Junior guard Keyshaad Dixon leads the squad with 31 assists and graduate student forward Quinton Forrest leads the Vandals in both rebounds (8.2 per game) and steals (17).

Idaho surrenders 70.3 points per game, ranking the Vandals 211th in scoring defense nationally.

The Wildcats lead the Vandals 56-24 all-time and 34-6 at Ogden. Both schools are charter members of the Big Sky Conference.
