OGDEN, Utah-Saturday, Weber State football, still ranked third nationally in the FCS STATS poll, will win a share of the Big Sky Conference title if they can down their bitter rivals, the Idaho State Bengals, at Holt Arena in Pocatello.
The Wildcats are fresh off of a 31-18 win over Southern Utah at Eccles Coliseum in Cedar City last Saturday and have won five straight.
Should they down the Bengals (Weber State leads the all-time series 41-15), the Wildcats will win the Big Sky Conference’s automatic bid to the FCS playoffs and a first round bye in all likelihood.
If the Wildcats do so, it would be historic as they have never won back-to-back conference titles in program history.
