Wasatch Track Boys Finish 6th Overall At BYU Invitational

PROVO, Utah-Saturday, Wasatch High ensued in competition at the BYU Invitational, prior to their hosting of the Region 8 track and field championship meet next Wednesday.

The boys had a stellar meet, placing sixth overall.

This was bolstered by Kellin Olsen placing sixth overall in the boys’ 800-meter run in a time of 1:57.69.

Addtionally, the Wasps’ boys’ medley team finished second overall in a time of 3:34.26. The team consisted of Kaden Smith, Zachary Davis, Andrei Hinckley and Kellin Olsen.

In the boys’ 110-meter hurdles, Wasatch’s Bennet Hill placed second overall in a time of 15.09 seconds and his teammate, Jake Hill, won the 300-meter hurdles title in a time of 39.68 seconds.

Andrei Hinckley placed sixth overall in the boys’ 400-meter dash, posting a time of 50.84 seconds.

In the boys’ discus, Mitch Nelson placed ninth overall with a toss of 130-10.75 feet, concluding the Wasps’ contributions at the meet.
