5-A Girls Soccer 2nd Round Playoffs
SPRINGVILLE, Utah-Sydney Hales netted the game-winning goal in double overtime as the Wasatch Wasps outlasted the Springville Red Devils 4-3 in the second round of the 5-A girls soccer playoffs Tuesday. Quincy Downey scored two goals for the Wasps and Hannah Lapray also found the net in the victory for Wasatch. Fiona Jensen, Joely Wilson and Sarah Hubbard all found the net in the loss for the Red Devils. The Wasps next visit Bonneville Thursday in the state quarterfinals for a 4:00 pm kickoff.

SALEM, Utah-The Salem Hills Skyhawks dismantled Wasatch 3-1 Tuesday in Region 8 volleyball action. The Skyhawks prevailed 25-18, 25-15, 27-29 and 25-16 for the four-set victory.
