HEBER CITY, Utah-Brock Cloward completed 20 of 28 passes for 360 yards and five touchdowns as the Wasatch Wasps decimated Cottonwood 45-0 Friday in non-region football action, helping the Wasps have a successful Homecoming game.
The 4-1 Wasps out-gained the beleagured Colts 564-157 and cruised to a 45-0 lead at halftime, allowing the mercy rule to be in effect for the entire second half.
Other stars for the Wasps included Bryant Prieto (9 car, 78 yards), Zak Thacker (12 touches, 110 scrimmage yards, 2 total TD’s), Kaden Smith (6 rec, 113 yards, 2 TD’s) and Ethan Wood (4 rec, 83 yards).
Star kicker Matthias Dunn also added a 30-yard field goal for the Wasps who are now ready for the rigors of Region 8 play.
The Wasps’ first region test comes Friday September 22 against the Timpanogos Timberwolves at Wright-Tree Stadium.
