HEBER CITY, Utah-Wasatch High will conduct its annual wrestling camp June 11-14 with numerous luminaries in attendance to mentor young wrestlers.
The Wasps, who boast 21 state titles in the sport, will be instructed by former Wasatch High star wrestler Cyler Sanderson, currently a senior at NCAA Division I wrestling power Penn State.
Additionally, others to assist at the camp include Fresno State head wrestling coach Troy Steiner, a former NCAA national champion and a four-time All-American at Iowa, and his assistant coach, Jason Chamberlain, a former Springville High star wrestler who was a two-time All-American at Boise State.
Others to assist include Sons of Atlas wrestling head coach Andrew Hochstrasser, also a two-time All-American at Boise State and Utah Valley wrestling assistant coaches Ethan Lofthouse and Luke Lofthouse, each of whom were All-Americans at Iowa in their collegiate days.
Registration for the camp closes on June 6 and for the technique and training camp, the cost is $200 for individuals and $150 for brothers.
If you’re a part of the Wasatch High wrestling club, registration is $150 and $100 for wrestling club brothers. Teams of six or more get the Wasatch club discount.
Late registration costs $240 and this requires participants to register and pay at the door.
For the youth wrestling camp (ages 4-8), the cost is $50 for individuals and $40 for brothers.
All participants will receive a camp T-shirt.
