HEBER CITY, Utah-Information has been released for Wasatch Volleyball 2018 tryouts for incoming freshmen. All of the necessary information can be found by clicking on wasatchhighathletics.com and then clicking on “more” to find the “physical and consent” forms.
This gives information on tryout paperwork and office packets. First of all, this tells of essential information for physicals and both sides must be completed. The Wasatch High athletic department encourages all prospective athletes to do this as swiftly as possible.
You can register to tryout online by going to registermyathlete.com and the entire checklist must be completed.
The tryout dates for the 2018 Wasatch High volleyball team are August 6 and 7 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm and later on from 3:00-5:00 pm.
You cannot step onto the floor for tryouts if you have not completed your physical, turned in your office packet and filled out all information on registermyathlete.com.
To be academically eligible, all athletes must have had passing grades for the fourth term from the previous school year. If any athletes have “F’s” or under 2.0 GPA’s, they must make up for this in summer school to be eligible to play.
There will be summer conditioning for prospective volleyball players Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00-9:00 am and there is a summer grass open court at various locations throughout the Heber Valley from 6:00-8:00 pm on Mondays this summer.
There are also various summer camps that incoming freshmen can attend, such as the Wasatch High Skills Camp (featuring BYU 2017 All-American Ronnie Jones-Perry and other Cougar volleyball players) Tuesday-Friday June 26-29.
There is a team camp Monday-Wednesday July 16-18 hosted in a joint effort by Pleasant Grove and American Fork High Schools as well.
Other camps that can be attended include the Salt Lake C.C. Skills camp June 4-5, the UVU Skills Camp July 5-7, the Snow College Elite Camp July 9-11, BYU Camp 1 July 9-12, BYU Camp 2 July 13-14, BYU Camp 3 July 16-19, U of U Skills July 16-18, U of U Positions (OH, MH, etc.) July 19-20, Weber State Setters Camp July 16-17, BYU Camp 4, July 23-26, USU Skills Camp July 23-26, Weber Skills Camp July 24-27 and BYU Camp 5, July 30-August 2.
