HEBER CITY, Utah-Friday, the Wasatch High girls’ tennis squad had a successful start to the season by downing the Brighton Bengals in non-region action to commence the season at Wasatch High School.
Key wins for the Wasps came from #1 singles player Phelan O’Keefe, prevailing in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2 Additionally, third singles’ player Cassie Henderson prevailed 6-3, 6-3 for the Wasps.
In doubles play, Wasastch’s #1 squad Anna Snow and Afton Overton prevailed 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 and in second doubles, the Wasps also got a win from Rebecca McGregor and Cicily Fenton, 6-2, 6-1.
