5-A State Play-In Game
PROVO, Utah-Brock Cloward homered and Nick Greenhawt added a key RBI double as the Wasatch Wasps doubled up Provo 2-1, advancing to the Class 5-A state baseball tournament with a win in the 5-A state play-in game Thursday at Provo High School. The Wasps will next visit the Region 6 champion (either Highland or Olympus) Monday at 4:00 pm.

Softball
Region 8
HEBER CITY, Utah-Payge Armendariz earned the win in the circle and the Wasatch Wasps pulverized Timpanogos 13-3 in Region 8 softball action Thursday. Andrea Sweat, Briley Bigelow and Paige Richins also doubled in the win for the Wasps. Wasatch is 8-1 in Region 8 play and therefore guaranteed the region title. The Wasps are also 21-4 overall on the season.
