MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Conner McKee’s 13 points led the way as the Wasatch Wasps started their season with a 100-58 loss to Wasatch Academy in non-region baskeball action Tuesday. Swimming

BOUNTIFUL, Utah-In a report published Monday on wasatchhighathletics.com, the Wasatch boys and girls’ swimming teams each excelled at the South Davis Invitational at Bountiful.

The Wasps’ girls placed first posting 417 points as junior Maddie Sisneros led the way with a time of 1:57.73 in the 200-meter freestyle.

The girls’ 400 free relay team set a new record of 3:44.49 to win the race. The competitors in this event were senior Claire Kieffer, junior Madi Christensen, junior Maddy Moulton and Sisneros.

The girls’ 200 free relay team, which consisted of each of the 400 free relay members, also placed first.

The boys finished second with 283 points, just finishing five points behind Davis for the title.

They were led by junior Grant Rigby, who placed fourth in the 200-meter individual medley, senior Braden Patterson, who was fourth in the 100 free, and junior Bridger Cluff, who finished fifth in the 100-meter backstroke.

The swimming teams are back in action November 29 ath the Lehi Rec Center at 3:45 pm.
