SPANISH FORK, Utah-Colin Hughes netted 17 points and the Wasatch Wasps overpowered Spanish Fork 46-33 Tuesday in Region 8 boys basketball action. The Wasps overcame a sluggish start with a 17-1o run in the 3rd Quarter to cruise to the victory at “La Hacienda.” The win improved the Wasps to 5-7 on the season. Jackson Rhees, Cade Olsen and Ryan Flake had 8 points apiece in the loss for the Dons.

HEBER CITY, Utah-Rachel Noyce amassed 18 points and 10 rebounds and the Wasatch Wasps pounded Spanish Fork 58-38 Tuesday at the Nest in Region 8 girls basketball action. Rachael Heath added 15 points in victory for the Wasps, who improved to 2-5. Staci Lomenick and Kayla Clark had 10 points apiece in defeat for the Dons.
