Wasatch High School Football’s Season Ends At Hands of Salem Hills

SALEM, Utah-Jarret Elmer threw three touchdown passes and Salem Hills held on with a last-minute interception to end the Wasatch Wasps’ season with a 38-35 win Saturday in the 5-A state quarterfinals at Salem Hills High School.

Despite his interception to end the game, Wasps signal-caller Adarius Edwards had an overall magnificent performance, tossing five touchdown passes.

For his scores, Edwards connected on two occasions with Jarin Kamala (5 yards and 16 yards) as well as with Quintin Shelton (18 yards) and La’A Kalama (8 yards) to keep the Wasps in position to win the game.

This ends Wasatch’s season at 8-3. Salem Hills has advanced to the 5-A state semifinals where the Skyhawks will face Timpview Friday at 12:30 pm at Dixie State University in St. George.

Wasatch High School boys basketball is around the corner as head coach James Ballsteadt’s Wasps will play Mountain View November 24 in the UVU Tip-off. This tournament will also match the Wasps against Lehi November 25.
