Wasatch High School Boys Golf Star Tyson Clyde Participates at 5-A State Golf

WASATCH MOUNTAIN STATE PARK, Utah-Monday, the first day of the 5-A state boys golf tournament commenced at Soldier Hollow Golf Course.

The sole Wasatch High School representative, senior Tyson Clyde is tied for 23rd after the first day of competition at +1. He is tied with Box Elder sophomore Dyson Lish, Woods Cross senior Schafer Iverson, Box Elder sophomore Cooper Sutton and Springville sophomore Jared Boyer.

The current leader for the individual state title after day one of competition is Skyline senior Tyson Shelley who is -7 with a tournament-best 65 strokes.

Shelley’s heroics have also placed the Eagles in first place in the team standings as Skyline is at -20 with a net 268 strokes.

Park City is in second (-11) with 277 strokes.
