VERNAL, Utah-Aspyn Neumann’s 12 points led the Wasatch Wasps to a 36-27 win over the Uintah Utes Saturday at the Shannon Johnson Classic at Uintah High School. Kenna Gardiner had 10 points in the loss for the Utes.
Later Saturday, Neumann scored 10 points as the Wasps bested Union 31-17. These two wins have Coach Norm Hayter’s squad at 3-2 as they head into the Virgin Valley (Nev.) Tournament at Virgin Valley High School of Mesquite, Nev.
They will compete from Thursday-Saturday December 12-14.
