5-A Tournament 1st Round
HEBER CITY, Utah-Emrie Satuala netted 18 points and Evelyn Chism added 16 more points as the No. 20 seed Bountiful Braves upset the No. 13 seed Wasatch Wasps 57-54 in overtime Tuesday in the first round of the 5-A girls state basketball tournament at the Nest.
Aspyn Neumann posted 15 points and Chiara Serre netted 14 points and 8 rebounds in the loss for the Wasps.
Norm Hayter’s squad ends the season with a record of 12-12.
The Wasatch boys’ basketball team is in action Wednesday at 7:00 pm at East High School in Salt Lake City against the Leopards in the first round of the 5-A boys state tournament.
