Wasatch Football Star Zak Thacker Offered By Southern Virginia University

HEBER CITY, Utah-As was confirmed Wednesday afternoon, Wasatch High School football star, tailback Zak Thacker, was offered by Southern Virginia University.

Thacker confirmed on his Twitter account that Knights head coach Edwin Mulitalo and tailbacks coach Michael Frye offered him a scholarship, the first one that the lauded athlete has received.

Last weekend, Thacker and his parents, at the invitation of Dixie State head football coach Paul Peterson, visited St. George to watch the Trailblazers defeat Adams State 35-10 November 16.

In his career with the Wasps, the 5-8 185-pound Thacker amassed 428 carries for 2,051 yards and 18 rushing scores. He averaged 60.3 yards per game during his career as well. In 2019, Thacker ran for 1,543 yards and 15 touchdowns alone.
