HEBER CITY, Utah-Monday, the initial Utah High School Activities Association football RPI was released, placing the Wasatch High School Wasps 10th overall.
The RPI has been implemented by the Midvale, Utah-based UHSAA to determine seeding for state tournaments in baseball, basketball, football, lacrosse, soccer, softball and volleyball.
The 3-2 Wasps are coming off a 45-7 rout of Spanish Fork in their Region 8 opener and, by virtue of their 10th place in the RPI appearance, have a percentage of .570.
Leading the way in 5-A is the Wasps’ Region 8 foe, Salem Hills (.746). Other Region 8 adversaries ahead of the Wasps in the standings include Springville (.704) in second place and Provo (.604) in sixth place.
The Wasps continue their Region 8 season Friday at Maple Mountain.
