Wasatch Boys, Girls Track and Field Squads Each Win Titles Tuesday

HEBER CITY, Utah-Tuesday, the Wasatch High School boys and girls track and field teams each won team titles at the 2019 Underclassmen Invitational at Wasatch High School.

The boys posted 147.5 points while the girls netted 187.5 points.

In the girls’ 3200-meter run, Megan Woodward (13:58.58) placed third, Mary Cernyar finished seventh (15:24.24) and Bailee Cragun (17:08.08) finished third.

Jake Giles won the boys’ 3200-meter run title (11:36.22) while Brock Coombs finished fifth (12:00.00), Grant Nabaum placed 10th (13:15.15) and Jeremiah Dobesh finished 11th (13:30.30).

Mae Foster placed fifth in the girls’ 100-meter hurdles (18.61 seconds), Anzlei Larsen finished seventh (18.98), Emilia Chamberlain placed 12th (19.98), Alison Besendorfer finished 13th (20.16), Lily Strong finished 23rd (22.71), Elizabeth Nichols and Skylar Rybarczyk tied for 24th (22.72) and Sage Danley placed 28th (24.86).

Connely Hill placed first in the 110-meter hurdles (18.22 seconds) and Isaac Olsen finished third (19.97).

In the girls’ 100-meter dash, Lexi Vernsey placed second (13.47 seconds), Rachel Noyce placed 10th (14.09), Hedda Olhot placed 11th (14.15), Leila Spruill finished 22nd (14.47), Rachael Heath placed 28th (14.90), Elizabeth Anthony finished 33rd (15.08), Kali Winegar placed 34th (15.11), Taylor Thurston placed 36th (15.42), Brenna Funk finished 44th (16.16), Lynnsie Jones and Elizabeth Nichols tied for 45th (16.27) and Rachel Roadfuss placed 53rd (19.41).

Connely Hill won the boys’ 100-meter dash (11.38 seconds) title and Peter Meuzelaar finished third (11.70), Ethan Muse finished eighth (12.37) and Isaac Tomco finished 15th (12.79). Additionally, Seth Wright placed 21st (13.08), Tucker Englebright finished 22nd (13.24), Levi Bala placed 28th (13.57), Hyrum Allen finished 31st (13.83), Dallen Tuddenham placed 34th (13.99), Braden Baker finished 38th (14.26), Gavin Danley placed 40th (14.41) and Jacob Steiner finished 43rd (16.17).

Abbie Randall placed second in the girls’ 400-meter dash (1:05.58), Savanna Dorrough placed fourth (1:06.37), Leila Spruill finished fifth (1:06.46), Emmalee Hendry finished sixth (1:06.99), Rachael Heath placed 11th (1:10.77), Elizabeth Anthony placed 17th (1:11.99), Taylor Thurston finished 19th (1:12.42), Hedda Olholt placed 21st (1:13.86), Kali Winegar placed 24th (1:18.52), Hannah Lee finished 26th (1:20.61), Lynnsie Jones placed 28th (1:22.64) and Rachel Roadfuss placed 31st (1:34.71).

Carson Guymon placed second in the boys’ 400-meter dash (57.17 seconds), Isaac Tomco finished 10th (1:00.68), Tucker Englebright placed 12th (1:02.20), Hyrum Allen placed 14th (1:02.76), Braden Baker finished 20th (1:06.82) and Gavin Danley placed 22nd (1:08.67).

In the girls’ 300-meter hurdles, Mae Foster placed sixth (55.11 seconds), Anzlei Larsen finished seventh (55.17), Savanna Dorrough placed eighth (55.52), Alison Besendorfer finished ninth (56.37) and Emilia Chamberlain placed 10th (57.25). Lily Strong placed 16th (1:01.19), Edyn Cliften finished 18th (1:05.31) and Skylar Rybarczyk placed 20th (1:05.69).

Connely Hill won the boys’ 300-meter hurdles title (44.73 seconds), Isaac Olsen placed fourth (51.35) and Karston Berkley finished fifth (52.38).

In the girls’ 800-meter run, Grace Neal took the title (2:43.50). Savanna Dorrough placed second (2:45.15), Faith Alba placed third (2:45.46), Sophia Burkemo finished fourth (2:46.28), Emmalee Hendry placed fifth (2:47.24), Adi Pople placed seventh (2:56.15), Abi Scott finished ninth (2:57.66), Rachael Heath placed 10th (2:58.56), Alivia Anderson finished 13th (3:05.81), Natalie Hanks placed 15th (3:07.84), Hannah Lee finished 16th (3:08.12) and Abby Miller placed 27th (4:00.81).

Ethan Huntsman placed sixth (2:22.06) and Caeden Jarvis placed seventh (2:22.28).

Karissa Bingham placed third in the girls’ 200 (27.57 seconds), Leila Spruill and Lexi Vernsey tied for eighth (29.41 seconds), Elizabeth Anthony placed 20th (31.30) Rachel Noyce placed 23rd (31.70), Hedda Olholt placed 31st (32.64), Taylor Thurston finished 32nd (32.68), Kali Winegar finished 36th (33.83), Brenna Funk placed 37th (34.10) and Lynssie Jones placed 42nd (35.48).

Danielle Krull placed second in the girls’ 1600-meter run (6:06.39), Grace Neal placed eighth (6:42.47), Sophia Burkemo finished ninth (6:42.78), Megan Woodward placed 10th (6:44.41), Audrey Burton finished 11th (6:52.22), Savannah Ellis placed 13th (6:58.69), Nettie Graham placed 14th (6:58.96), Mary Cernyar finished 18th (7:35.75), Bailee Cragun placed 23rd (8:01.81) and Naomi Cernyar finished 24th (8:09.03).

In the boys’ 1600-meter run, Connor Weldon took the title (5:15.89). Weston Howell placed third (5:17.37), Jake Giles placed fourth (5:19.02), Eastin McCotter finished seventh (5:29.12), Brock Coombs placed 11th (5:32.93), Christian Spencer finished 13th (5:33.96), Caeden Jarvis placed 14th (5:40.62) and Logan LaBarge finished 26th (6:49.75).

In the boys’ long jump, Carson Guymon placed fourth (17-05.00), Luiz Bastos finished eighth (16-06.50), Ben Wright finished 10th (15-08.00) and Levi Bala placed 19th (14-04.00).

In the girls’ long jump, Hedda Olholt finished sixth (14-10.50), Anzlei Larsen placed ninth (14-03.00), Rachel Noyce placed 12th (13-05.00), Alison Besendorfer finished 14th (12-11.50), Emilia Chamberlain placed 15th (12-10.00), Elizabeth Anthony placed 17th (12-05.50) and Rachel Roadfuss placed 23rd (11-02.00).

In the boys’ high jump, Tucker Englebright, Seth Wright, Peter Meuzelaar and Luiz Bastos tied for third (5 feet-2 inches), Eli Hoffman placed eighth (4- feet-10 inches), Dallen Tuddenham placed ninth (4 feet-8 inches) and Ben Wright finished 10th (4 feet-6 inches).

Karissa Bingham won the girls’ high jump crown (4 feet-8 inches). Rachel Noyce placed second (4-8), Lexi Vernsey placed fifth (4-4), Callie Burton placed eighth (4-4), Emilia Chamberlain placed ninth (4-2), Sage Romney placed 14th (4-2) and Anzlei Larsen placed 19th (4-0) while Lily Strong finished 24th (3-8).

In the boys’ javelin, Parker North finished second (130-05) and Ethan Muse finished fifth (106-06).

In the girls’ javelin, Livi Rand placed fifth (75-03), Maddie Mair finished sixth (74-07), Kaitlin Moss placed 13th (62-03), Payton Caldwell finished 23rd (46-07) and Charley Hales placed 26th (45-04).

In the boys’ shot put, Braxton Turner took the title (37-06), Seth Heaton placd third (35-10), Dallen Bullock placed 5th (31-02), Weston Simper placed 11th (27-10), William Griffin placed 12th (26-09), Kash Miner finished 14th (26-02), Jeremiah Clark placed 16th (23-03), Brandon Cabrera finishd 18th (22-07) and Eli Harbertson placed 23rd (19-00).

In the girls’ shot put, Payton Caldwell placed fourth (25-01.00), Miriam Dunn finished fifth (24-06.00), Emma Call placed ninth (20-06.00), Kaitlin Moss and Maddie Mair tied for 12th (20-00.00), Charley Hales placed 16th (19-07), Livi Rand placed 19th (19-02), Savannah Lofgran placed 23rd (17-10) and Gracy Hiatt placed 24th (17-09).

In the boys’ discus, Parker North placed second (95-09), Seth Heaton placed third (92-08), Weston Simper finished sixth (82-07), Dallen Bullock placed seventh (79-05), William Griffin placed 10th (60-04), Kash Miner finished 11th (59-00), Brandon Cabrera placed 12th (52-09) and Eli Harbertson placed 17th (45-08).

Finally, in the girls’ discus, Charley Hales placed sixth (48-00), Savannah Lofgran placed 14th (37-08) and Gracy Hiatt finished 16th (36-04).
