Wasatch Boys and Girls Track Competes at Salem Hills Midnite Invitational

SALEM, Utah-Friday, Wasatch High School’s boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Skyhawk Midnite Invitational at Salem Hills High School.

We do not have the full results but share as many as were available.

In the girls’ 100-meter hurdles, Ellie Martindale (17.44 seconds) placed third overall, while Mae Foster (18 seconds) finished ninth. Anzlei Larsen placed 20th overall (19 seconds), McKinley Raven placed 23rd (19.11 seconds) and Emilia Chamberlain finished 28th (19.94 seconds).

In the boys’ 110-meter hurdles, Caleb West (17.62 seconds) finished sixth, while Treyson Poppinga (18.46 seconds) placed 12th, Connely Hill (18.48 seconds) finished 13th, Nathaniel Foote placed 16th (18.78 seconds) and Adam Edwards placed 36th (21.45 seconds).

In the girls’ 100-meter dash, Annie Hill (13.22 seconds) placed fourth, Karissa Bingham (13.31 seconds) finished ninth, Lucy Clawson (13.39 seconds) placed 11th, Miranda Ross (13.48 seconds) placed 15th, Sydney Hales (13.50 seconds) finished 17th and Lexi Vernsey (13.55 seconds) placed 19th.

In the boys’ 100-meter dash, Kaden Smith (12.25 seconds) finished 18th, Samuel Lemon (12.48 seconds) placed 30th, Peter Meuzelaar (12.50 seconds) finished 31st, Caleb West (12.62 seconds) placed 36th and Hayden Stocking (13.09 seconds) finished 58th.

In the girls’ 1600-meter run, Becca Mathis placed 14th (6:18.61) and Gabby Huntsman (6:41.92) finished 18th overall.

In the boys’ 1600-meter run, Connor Weldon (5:01.79) finished ninth, Jake Giles placed 18th (5:12.98) and Luke Straddeck (5:21.97) finished 25th overall.

In the girls’ 400-meter dash, Miranda Ross placed second (1:03.85) while Callie Griffith finished fourth (1:05.34) and Brooke Sargent placed 10th (1:06.63).

In the boys’ 400-meter dash, Bentley Ackerson (52.63 seconds) placed third, while Josh Benson (55.93) placed 20th. Jay May (56.01) finished 21st and Carson Guymon (56.10) placed 22nd overall.

Annie Hill won the girls’ 300-meter hurdles title (49.87 seconds) with Mae Foster (50.85) placing second. Savanna Dorrough (53.42) placed 12th, McKinley Raven finished 16th (53.90) and Anzlei Larsen placed 21st (54.59) with Alison Besendorfer (56.56) finishing 28th.

In the boys’ javelin, Parker North (116-05) finished sixth, while Ethan Muse (105-10) placed 15th. Jay Nelson (103-04) placed 20th and Enrique Ferreyra (103-00) finished 21st.

Jay Nelson took the boys’ shot put (41-10.25 feet) title while Enrique Ferreyra (37-06.25) placed 12th. Braxton Turner (36-06.75 feet) finished 13th, Karsen Sweat (28-11) placed 34th and Dallen Bullock (26-01) finished 40th.

Nathaniel Foote (5 feet-4 inches) placed 7th in the boys’ high jump. Seth Wright (5 feet-2 inches) placed 8th with Tucker Englebright (5 feet-2 inches) tying for 8th. AJ Johnson placed 13th (5 feet-2 inches) and Peter Meuzelaar (5 feet-2 inches) finished 16th.

In the girls’ discus, Emma Berg (80-01.50 inches) placed fifth while Kelsey Crane (67-04) finished 13th, Payton Caldwell (65-10) finished 15th and Hannah Moss (58-08.50) placed 28th.

In the girls’ long jump, Lexi Vernsey (14-03.75 feet) placed sixth, Hedda Olholt (14-03) finished ninth, Ellie Martindale (14-02.25) placed 10th and Rachael Heath (12-11.25) finished 20th.

In the boys’ discus, Karsen Sweat (76-03.50 feet) placed third and Weston Simper (73-06) finished fourth overall.
