Wasatch Baseball Loses To Maple Mountain, Forced To Play At Provo In Play-In Game

HEBER CITY, Utah-Mason Green doubled and the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles exploded for four runs in the top of the 6th Inning as they downed the Wasatch Wasps 5-3 in Region 8 baseball action Wednesday. Brock Cloward, Aidan Magoffin and Robby Fredericks all came through with RBI for the Wasps. The loss ends ends the Wasps’ regular season with a record of 11-14 and 6-9 in Region 8 play. The loss spoiled Senior Day for the Wasps. After the game, all the seniors were honored, nonetheless, for a job well done in representing Wasatch High School. Wasatch is tied for fourth place with Provo and will play the Bulldogs Thursday at 3:30 pm at Provo High School in a Region 8 play-in game.
