Wasatch Baseball Enters Moratorium With 2-4 Record

HURRICANE, Utah-Saturday, Wasatch High School entered their baseball moratorium with a 2-4 record as they split a pair of games at Hurricane High School.

In the first game, head coach Tyler Baird’s squad fell 9-5 to the Bonneville (Idaho) Bees. The Bees exploded for four 6th Inning runs to put the game away after it had been deadlocked 5-5 prior to that point.

In the second game, Noah Turley’s 5 RBI including a three-run home run and a 2-RBI single, led the Wasps to an 11-5 win over host Hurricane. Parker Quinton and Riley Davis also came up with key RBI and the Wasps capitalized on several key Tigers errors to build a 7-0 lead after their half of the 2nd Inning.

Brian Long had 2 RBI in defeat for the Tigers.

Wasatch enters the UHSAA-mandated minimum 2-week moratorium on competition because of COVID-19, 2-4 after the win over Hurricane.

We sincerely hope to bring you more Wasatch High School sports action after March 30 but we will see what happens.
