Wasatch Baseball Drops Heartbreaker To Desert Hills Thursday Evening

Desert Hills Tournament

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Joey Brooks belted a 3-run homer in the bottom of the 7th Inning as the Desert Hills Thunder stormed past Wasatch 5-3 Thurday at the Desert Hills Tournament.

The Wasps adeptly overcame a 2-0 deficit with RBI from Parker Quinton and Peyton Swapp in the 4th Inning to tie things up 2-2.

In the top of the 6th Inning, Quinton came through with an RBI single to give Wasatch their first lead of the evening.

However, Brooks stole the show for the Thunder as the Wasps had two outs against Desert Hills in the bottom of the 7th Inning before Brooks’ heroics.

Wasatch returns to action Friday at 4:30 pm at Desert Hills High School to face the Class 6-A Hunter Wolverines. Tune into the pregame show with John Moss at 4:00 pm on 94.5 the Peak and hebervalleyradio.com.
