OREM, Utah-Friday, Utah Valley baseball (5-19, 2-1 in WAC play) hosts the two-time defending conference champion Grand Canyon Antelopes (12-12, 1-2 in conference play).
There will be single games in the series, Friday Saturday and Sunday at UCCU Ballpark.
Junior outfielder Alexander Marco (.344 batting average, 9 doubles, 4 home runs, 19 RBI) leads the Wolverines on the season offensively.
The Wolverines will go with senior right-hander Jake Carr on the mound Friday. Saturday, junior right-hander Paxton Schultz gets the nod and Sunday’s pitcher for Utah Valley is senior right-hander Walker Ramsey.
The Antelopes are led by redshirt sophomore catcher/first baseman Cuba Bess (a .333 batting average) while junior outfielder Kona Quiggle (a team-best 6 home runs and 27 RBI) leads Grand Canyon in both categories.
The Antelopes lead the Wolverines 10-5 all-time and have a four-game winning streak in the series.
