Utah State Men’s Basketball Hosts Wyoming Wednesday

LOGAN, Utah-Wednesday, Utah State men’s basketball (18-6, 8-3 in Mountain West conference play) hosts Wyoming (6-17, 2-8 in conference play) at the Spectrum.

The Aggies have tremendously defended their home court as they are 10-1 at Logan this season.

This is the 25th consecutive season the Aggies have won double-digit games at home as well.

The Aggies fell in their last game, 68-63 at San Diego State, but they have followed up all of their losses with a win this season while they seek to ensue in that trend against the Cowboys.

The selfless Aggies have also had four different players lead the team in assists in a game.

The Aggies have scored exactly 1,900 points this season (79.2 points per game) and surrender 66.6 points per contest.

Junior guard Sam Merrill (20.1 points per game) leads the Aggies in scoring as he has throughout the season.

Freshman center, Portuguese national Neemias Queta (10.9 points, 9.2 rebounds per game) continues to impress as the season progresses.

Wyoming’s disappointing season saw them almost lose to NCAA Division II Dixie State, as they prevailed 65-63 December 29.

The Cowboys score 66.3 points per game and surrender 74.9 points per contest.

Senior guard Justin James (20.7 points, 8.6 rebounds per game) and sophomore guard Hunter Maldonado (13.8 points, 6.8 rebounds per game) are the Cowboys’ statistical leaders.

Traditionally, Wyoming has dominated Utah State on the hardwood as the Cowboys lead the all-time series 51-28.
