Pacific Coast League

SALT LAKE CITY-Andy Young homered and the Reno Aces ended the season on a high note with a 7-1 rout of the Salt Lake Bees Monday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League baseball action. Marty Herum, Carlos Asuaje, Lucas Herbert, Matt Szczur and Juniel Querecuto also added RBI in the win for Reno, as they conclude the season at 66-74. Bryan Menendez earned the win on the mound for the Aces as he won his only start of the season, finishing 1-0. Kaleb Cowart had an RBI single in defeat for the Bees, who end this campaign at 60-79.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Zac Ching’s bottom of the 8th Inning home run provided sufficient insurance for the Ogden Raptors as they outlasted the Orem Owlz 4-3 Monday at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League baseball action. Ching also added a 1st Inning RBI double in the win for the 51-20 Raptors. Andy Pages and Jon Littell each added RBI in victory for Ogden. Corey Merrill earned the win on the mound for the Raptors, improving to 4-2 on the season. Anthony Mulrine had an inside-the-park home run and D’Shawn Knowles and Trent Deveaux also added RBI in the loss for the 28-43 Owlz.
