Pacific Coast League
SALT LAKE CITY-Jarrett Parker, Brennon Lund and Nick Franklin each had key RBI as the Salt Lake Bees edged the Reno Aces 4-3 Saturday in Pacific Coast League baseball action at Smith’s Ballpark.
Drew Hutchison improved to 3-0 on the season for the Bees while Salt Lake, headed into the final two games of their season, improved to 59-78. Marty Herum homered in the loss for the 65-73 Aces.
Pioneer League
OREM, Utah-Morgan McCullough and Jeremiah Jackson homered as the Orem Owlz pounded Ogden 18-5 Saturday at UCCU Ballpark in Pioneer League baseball action. The Owlz exploded for a 9-run 2nd Inning, giving them a 9-0 run. In this productive stanza, Orem received 2 RBI from McCullough, on a pair of singles. Additionally, Brandon White, Jackson, Caleb Scires and Jose Guzman had RBI in the 2nd Inning for the 28-41 Owlz. Jose Natera improved to 2-3 on the mound for the season in the win for Orem. Ramon Rodriguez, Andy Pages and Andrew Shaps all homered in defeat for the 49-20 Raptors.
