SALT LAKE CITY-Andy Young, Caleb Joseph and Kevin Cron each had RBI in the pivotal 10th Inning as the Reno Aces bested Salt Lake 13-9 Friday at Smith’s Ballpark. Ben Taylor improved to 3-4 on the season on the mound for the Aces as they are currently 65-72 after the win. Jared Walsh homered twice in the loss for the 58-78 Bees.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Ryan Ward homered en route to a six-RBI performance as the Ogden Raptors pounded the Grand Junction Rockies 13-3 at Lindquist Field Friday at Lindquist Field. Jeronimo Castro earned the win on the mound for the Raptors as he improved to 4-1. The Raptors improved to 49-19 with the win. Brenton Doyle and Julio Carreras each had RBI in the loss for the 33-34 Rockies.
OREM, Utah-Anthony Mulrine belted a grand slam as the Orem Owlz smacked the Rocky Mountain Vibes 7-1 at UCCU Ballpark Friday in Pioneer League baseball action. The Owlz improved to 27-41 with the win while Emiker Guzman improved to 3-6 on the mound with the win for Orem. Jess Williams had an RBI groundout in defeat for the 30-38 Vibes.
