EL PASO, Texas-Webster Rivas, Peter Van Gansen, Rodrigo Orozco, Travis Jankowski, Aderlin Rodriguez, Jason Vosler and Michael Gettys all had RBI in a productive 4th Inning as the El Paso Chihuahuas routed Salt Lake 12-5 Wednesday at Southwest University Park in Pacific Coast League baseball action. The Bees built a 4-0 lead after two innings on RBI from Jared Walsh, Jose Rojas and Taylor Ward but for the second consecutive evening, they were undone by an onslaught in a single inning from the 79-56 Chihuahuas. Jerry Keel earned the win on the mound for El Paso as he improved to 10-7. The Bees fell to 57-77.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Colin Simpson homered and the Grand Junction Rockies downed Ogden 8-5 in Pioneer League baseball action Wednesday. Bladimir Restituyo added 2 RBI for the 33-34 Rockies. Anderson Amarista improved to 4-4 on the season for Grand Junction. Jimmy Titus homered in the loss for the 48-18 Raptors.
OREM, Utah-Jeremiah Jackson homered and singled and Brandon White added another home run as the Orem Owlz blanked Rocky Mountain 3-0 Wednesday in Pioneer League baseball action. Matt Leon improved to 4-3 as the Owlz are now 26-40 on the season. The Vibes fell to 29-37.
