SALT LAKE CITY-Jared Walsh and Anthony Bemboom each homered as the Salt Lake Bees routed Oklahoma City 14-4 Thursday at Smitih’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League baseball action. Jose Rojas, Kaleb Cowart, Wilfredo Tovar, Jo Adell, Michael Hermosillo and Taylor Ward also had RBI for the Bees, as they improved to 49-61. Jose Rodriguez earned the win on the mound for the Bees, as he improved to 3-2 on the season. Edwin Rios and Gavin Lux each homered in the loss for the 51-58 Dodgers.
Pioneer League
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Jose Verrier’s insurance 2-run homer in the 9th Inning helped the Orem Owlz to a 6-3 win over the Grand Junction Rockies at Suplizio Field in Pioneer League baseball action Thursday. Verrier led off the Owlz’ scoring in the 3rd Inning with an RBI single. Andrew Blake earned the win on the mound for the Owlz as he improved to 1-0 on the season with Orem improvig to 14-30. Christian Koss homered in the loss for the Rockies, as they fell to 23-21.
