Pacific Coast League
SALT LAKE CITY-Dom Nunez, Pat Valiaka and Peter Mooney each homered as the Albuquerque Isotopes bested the Salt Lake Bees 10-6 Wednesday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League baseball action.
Drew Weeks and Yonathan Daza also added RBI for the Isotopes, who improved to 45-58 with the win. Phillip Dieh earned the win on the mound for Albuquerque as he improved to 2-0 on the season.
Jared Walsh and Jose Rojas homered in the loss for the Bees as they fell to 44-59.
The Bees were wearing commemorative Salt Lake Buzz jerseys, as the franchise was known from 1994-2000.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Brandon Wulff and Jon Littell each homered as the Ogden Raptors dismantled the Grand Junction Rockies 3-1 Wednesday in Pioneer League baseball action at Lindquist Field. Edward Cuello improved to 4-1 on the season for the Raptors with the win. Ogden is now 30-7 on the season as the Raptors have set a new Pioneer League record for the most wins in the first half of a season.
Christian Koss homered in the loss for the Rockies, who fell to 19-18.
OREM, Utah-Antonio Pinero had successive RBI doubles in the 4th and 6th Innings as the Rocky Mountain Vibes stymied Orem 6-2 in Pioneer League baseball action Wednesday at UCCU Ballpark. Pinero also added an RBI single for the Vibes, who improved to 16-21 on the season. Cristian Sierra took the win on the mound for the Vibes, as he is now 2-1 on the season. Brandon White and Jeremiah Jackson had RBI in defeat for the Owlz, as they fell to 13-24.
