SALT LAKE CITY-Sheldon Neuse’s 1st Inning 3-run homer led the Las Vegas Aviators to a 5-2 win over the Salt Lake Bees Friday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League baseball action. Jorge Mateo added an RBI single in the 7th Inning to put the game away as the Aviators improved to 57-42 with the win. James Naile improved to 2-0 on the season, earning the win on the mound for Las Vegas. Kaleb Cowart and Jose Rojas had RBI in the loss for the Bees, as they fell to 42-57.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Sam McWilliams’ 2nd Inning home run put the Ogden Raptors up for good as they downed the Rocky Mountain Vibes 9-5 at Lindquist Field Friday in Pioneer League baseball action.
Jeremy Arocho added 2 RBI in the win for the Raptors, who improved to 26-6 on the season, winning their 11th straight game.
Brandon Lewis, Andrew Shaps and Ramon Rodriguez also added RBI in the win for Ogden. Luis Avila added 2 RBI for the Vibes, as they fell to 13-19.
OREM, Utah-Cristopher Navarro, Todd Isaacs, Owen Taylor and Jack Yalowitz all had RBI as the Grand Junction Rockies outlasted Orem 5-4 in Pioneer League baseball action Friday at UCCU Ballpark. Johan Sala and Caleb Scires homered in the loss for the Owlz as they fell to 12-21. Grand Junction improved to 18-15 in the win.
