SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, Utah men’s basketball head coach Larry Krystkowiak announced the Utes’ non-conference schedule.
This is headlined by five home games, a road trip to Reno, Nev. to play the Nevada Wolf Pack and neutral court appearances at Myrtle Beach, S.C., Las Vegas and Los Angeles during a 12-game non-conference tilt.
The Utes’ season starts unofficially with an exhibition game against NCAA Division II Texas-Tyler October 30 at the Huntsman Center.
The regular season commences with the trip to Reno November 5. This is the first time the Utes have not started the regular season at home since 1995, when they played Kansas at Kansas City, Mo.
It is also the first true road game to start the regular season since visiting Weber State in 1976.
The Utes will host Mississippi Valley State November 8 and Minnesota November 15.
The Utes will then compete at the HTC Center November 21-24 at Conway, S.C. for the Myrtle Beach Classic.
Utah then hosts UC Davis November 29, BYU December 4 and Central Arkansas December 7.
The Utes will face Weber State December 14 at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in the Beehive Classic and then square off against Kentucky December 19 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
They conclude the non-conference season December 22 at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles by facing San Diego State.
