SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, fresh off of their first sweep of California and Stanford on the road in history, Utah men’s basketball hosts Oregon Thursday evening at the Huntsman Center.
The 11-8 (5-2 in Pac-12) Utes will host Oregon Thursday and Oregon State Saturday for their only games against the Ducks and Beavers this season.
The Utes are currently on a 4-game winning streak and score 75.3 points per game while giving up 72.8 points per contest.
Senior guard Sedrick Barefield (16.2 points per game) is the Utes’ leading scorer.
Sophomore forward Donnie Tillman (10.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game) continues to be a solid complementary player this season for Utah.
The Ducks come into Salt Lake City with a record of 12-8 and 3-4 in conference play.
Oregon scores 71.6 points per game and surrenders 64.4 points per contest.
After star freshman Bol Bol was lost for the season with a foot injury December 12, the Ducks have struggled to compensate for his 21 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.
In the interim, Oregon has been led by freshman forward Louis King (12.8 points, 5.5 rebounds per game) and junior guard Payton Pritchard (11.5 points per game).
