USU Football Adds Two Prospective Missionaries To The Roster

LOGAN, Utah-Tuesday, Utah State head football coach Gary Andersen announced the additions of a pair of  prospective Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints missionaries to his roster.

The Aggies signed 6-6 240-pound tight end/defensive end Cole Motes of Thatcher High School in Thatcher, Ariz. and 6-4 200-pound tight end Jack Rigby of Kaysville, Utah and Davis High School.

Motes was named as the Thatcher High School Athlete of the Year, earning all-region and all-state honors in basketball for the Eagles.

Rigby earned Class 6-A second-team all-state honors last season, hauling in 35 passes for 620 yards (17.7 yards per reception) and six scores.

Rigby also played basketball for the Darts.
