LOGAN, Utah-Friday, Utah State men’s basketball sophomore to be, center Neemias Queta, will lead his native Portugal into the FIBA European Championships quarterfinals after leading the Portuguese squad to an undefeated record in Group D competition.
Queta (11.5 points and 9.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1 steal per game) will anchor a Portuguese squad playing against Georgia, Group C’s second-place finisher.
The Portuguese have bested North Macedonia (73-39), Luxembourg (86-44), Slovakia (76-61) and Belgium (81-53) to get to this point.
