MIDVALE, Utah-Following up on announcements made by Utah Governor Gary Herbert and Utah State Superintendent of Public Instruction Sydnee Dickson, the Utah High School Activities Association has canceled all spring sports and state championship tournaments.
Current UHSAA policies prohibiting the use of school facilities and organizing practices and/or team gatherings are being enforced until further notice.
The UHSAA staff remains optimistic at this time that fall sports will commence in August 2020 but it is still too early at this stage to make any definitive statements on the matter at this time, the UHSAA stated in a press release.
