OREM, Utah-Monday, Utah Valley University men’s basketball coach Mark Madsen confirmed that UAB guard Jordan Brinson will join the Wolverines’ program via the transfer portal.
Madsen called Brinson “a winner, a leader and a tremendous talent.”
The 6-3 175-pound Brinson symmetrically posted 3.4 points and 3.4 rebounds last season for the 19-13 Blazers.
Overall, Brinson, a native of Inglewood, Calif., played in 26 games for UAB, posting four starts. He also added 1.4 assists and 0.6 steals per game for the Blazers.
Brinson will have three seasons of eligibility for the Wolverines, but per NCAA transfer rules, will be forced to sit out the 2020-21 season.
Furthermore, per news from Kyle McDonald of WAC Hoops Digest, former Wolverines guard Brandon Averette has entered the transfer portal Monday.
