CEDAR CITY, Utah-Saturday, Tevian Jones posted 30 points and the Southern Utah Thunderbirds extended their school record with their ninth straight win by besting Idaho 83-67 at the America First Event Center.
Jones shot 6 of 11 from the field and made all 6 of his free throw attempts on the afternoon to help the Thunderbirds improve to 4-0 in Big Sky Conference action ad 9-1 overall.
John Knight III added 17 points on 7-11 from the field in victory for SUU.
Damen Thacker’s 16 points led the Vandals in the loss as Idaho fell to 0-8 and 0-5 in Big Sky play.
SUU is next in action at Eastern Washington Thursday and Saturday at Cheney, Wash.
