CEDAR CITY, Utah-Per a late Wednesday announcement, Southern Utah men’s basketball head coach Todd Simon confirmed senior forward Dwyane Morgan is out for the season.
He will undergo shoulder surgery, which has already limited him this season.
While appearing in four games for the Thunderbirds this season, the Baltimore native averaged 13 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
He was instrumental in the 5-6 Thunderbirds getting out to a 3-0 start on the season.
His last appearance for SUU came in a 76-71 loss at UNLV November 23. Incidentally, he starred for the Rebels before coming to Cedar City as a graduate transfer.
For the time being, Morgan is pursuing a master’s degree at SUU and his options in terms of future eligibility are “currently being evaluated.”
