CEDAR CITY, Utah-Friday, Southern Utah football added two new additions to the roster per a statement from head coach Demario Warren.
The Thunderbirds welcome former Utah signal-caller Zach Hymas who starred at Moapa Valley High School of Overton, Nev.
The native of Logandale, Nev. was named first-team all-state, 1-A All-State offensive MVP and Sunrise League offensive MVP as a Nevada high school star.
His senior season for the Pirates saw him throw for 2,172 yards and 26 touchdowns while running for four other scores on the ground.
His contributions helped lead Moapa Valley to a 1-A Nevada state title as the Pirates finished 13-0.
Hymas has also spent two seasons at Weber State before transferring to Utah. He will have two seasons of eligibility for the Thunderbirds.
SUU also added cornerback Kobe Singleton out Chiawana High School in Pasco, Wash.
His junior season saw him net nine interceptions and 10 pass breakups for the Riverhawks in 2018.
Singleton received interest from various Pac-12 schools during his career.
