Seven U of U Women’s Swimmers Named As CSCAA Scholar All-Americans

NORFOLK, Va.-Wednesday, the University of Utah’s women’s swimming/diving team saw seven of their stellar scholar-athletes honored as Scholar All-Americans by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.

For the second consecutive season, senior Dorien Butter of Cairo, Egypt and sophomore Sarah Lott of Los Alamos, N.M. were honored.

First-time honorees include freshman Clare Greenlow of Menlo Park, Calif., freshman Sara McClendon of Mansfield, Texas, junior Genny Robertson of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, freshman Emma Ruchala of Tinley Park, Ill., and junior Gillian St. John of Albuquerque, N.M.

To obtain honorable mention selection to the CSCAA Scholar All-American Team, swimmers must have achieved a GPA of at least 3.50, achieved a “B time” standard or competed at their respective diving qualifying meets.

Butter is now a three-time first-team All-Pac-12 academic honoree and Lott was named second-team all-conference this past season.

St. John and Robertson also earned academic honors from the Pac-12 in 2018.
