OREM, Utah-Thursday, former Wasatch High cross country/track athlete and current Utah Valley star senior Savannah Neuberger had her successful week continue as she was named to the 2018 Academic All-WAC team for the fall season.
To be eligible for this honor, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s contests.
A total of 274 student-athletes from the Western Athletic Conference were named to the list.
Neuberger was one of 40 Wolverines to receive this distinction as Utah Valley was the WAC school most densely represented on the list.
Last Saturday, Neuberger set a school record in winning the mile run at the Stacey Dragila Invitational at Idaho State University of Pocatello, Idaho.
Neuberger also won the 800-meter run title, making her the WAC Indoor Track & Field athlete of the week.
