HEBER CITY, Utah-Monday, Wasatch High softball, off the heels of a successful initial season in class 5-A, saw three standouts receive recognition for a job well done.
Sophomore pitcher Riley Arnold earned first-team All-5-A plaudits for her heroics this season. For the Wasps, Arnold batted .500, amassing 33 RBI and 13 doubles. In the circle, she posted a solid 3.42 ERA and was also dependable as she pitched every game for the Wasps in the 5-A state tournament last month.
Freshman catcher Maclee McPhie was selected to the second team. Junior third base Charley Kelson earned honorable mention recognition as well.
With all of these stars returning next season, look for the Wasps to be a strong contender in Class 5-A softball next spring.
