NEW ORLEANS-Zion Williamson amassed 26 points on 9-12 shooting as the New Orleans Pelicans outlasted the Utah Jazz 128-127 Friday at the Smoothie King Center in NBA preseason action.
The Pelicans shot 51.7 percent from the field and used a key 39-27 run in the 4th Quarter to overcome a 100-89 deficit at the end of the 3rd Quarter for the win.
Jeff Green’s 20 points on 8-9 shooting led the torridly shooting Jazz who torched the nets to the tune of a 59 percent shooting performance on the evening.
Utah fell to 1-2 in the preseason with the loss and is next in action Monday against the Sacramento Kings at Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City for a 7:00 pm tip-off.
New Orleans improved to 3-0 in the preseason and next visits San Antonio Sunday afternoon for a 3:00 pm CDT tip-off.
