PARK CITY, Utah-Jack Skidmore tossed three touchdown passes and added a clutch 13-yard touchdown run in the 4th Quarter as the Park City Miners bested Wasatch 35-30 Friday in non-region football action.
This bitter rivalry, which dates back to 1924, saw the Miners take complete control of the game with a 31-yard scoring reception by Mark McCurdy from Skidmore late in the 3rd Quarter puncutated by Skidmore’s touchdown run.
In the loss, signal-caller Parker Quinton tossed two touchdown passes, to Damien Skiby and Ty Nielsen respectively, and he added a 7-yard touchdown run.
Zak Thacker also had a 5-yard touchdown run in the loss for the Wasps while Ammon Tuttle nailed a field goal as well for Wasatch in defeat.
The Wasps are next in action August 23 at Hyrum, Utah against the Mountain Crest Mustangs.
