OGDEN, Utah-Jorbit Vivas scored on a Grand Junction fielding error in the 10th Inning and the Ogden Raptors advanced to the Pioneer League championship series with a 6-5 win over the Rockies Monday at Lindquist Field in Game 2 of their best-of-three series at Lindquist Field.
Additionally, Andy Pages and Sauryn Lao each homered for the Raptors, while Zac Ching and Imanol Vargas each added RBI for Ogden in the win.
Reza Aleaziz earned the win on the mound for the Raptors, improving to 1-0 in the postseason.
Colin Simpson had an RBI double and a sacrifice RBI for Grand Junction in defeat.
Because Billings defeated Idaho Falls 4-3 Monday, the Chukars and Mustangs are forced to play a third and deciding game, so the Raptors’ opponent is undetermined at this point.
