SALT LAKE CITY-Jose Rojas, Michael Hermosillo and Taylor Ward all homered as the Salt Lake Bees stymied El Paso 9-6 Thursday in Pacific Coast League baseball action at Smith’s Ballpark.
Brennon Lund added an insurance sacrifice fly RBI in the 8th Inning to help the Bees improve to 39-47.
In defeat, Boog Powell, Seth Mejias-Brean and Jose Pirela homered for the Chihuahuas, as they fell to 52-34.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Sam McWilliams homered and Joe Vranesh’s insurance RBI on a sacrifice fly in a productive 8th Inning helped the Ogden Raptors double up the Rocky Mountain Vibes 4-2 at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League baseball action Thursday.
Zac Ching added a 5th Inning RBI single as the Raptors improved to 14-5. Jess Wiliams had both RBI in the loss for the Vibes, dropping them to 8-11.
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Jeremiah Jackson homered twice, while Caleb Scires and Will Wilson also went yard as the Orem Owlz doubled up Grand Junction 8-4 Thursday at Suplizio Field Thursday in Pioneer League baseball action. David Clawson and Anthony Mulrine also added RBI in the win for the Owlz, as they improved to 7-12. The Rockies fell to 9-10 with the loss as Julio Carreras homered and singled for Grand Junction.
