SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Marco Luciano homered and the Sacramento River Cats overpowered the Salt Lake Bees 16-11 Saturday at The Ballpark at America First Square in Pacific Coast League play. Carson Seymour posted seven strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Sacramento. Korey Holland and Chad Stevens homered in the loss for the Bees. Following Saturday’s results, the River Cats improved to 46-46 and the Bees fell to 36-55. The Bees can still win the series Sunday with a win over the River Cats. Opening pitch is slated for 12:05 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Mike Rosario and Adam Fogel each homered and the Missoula PaddleHeads routed Ogden 11-2 Saturday at Lindquist Field. Matthew Sox recorded six strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the PaddleHeads. Kenneth Oyama and Elliot Good homered in the loss for the Raptors. Ogden goes for the series win and Missoula seeks the series split Sunday at 1:00 pm to conclude the series at Lindquist Field.
