SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Clay Dungan homered and the El Paso Chihuahuas outlasted Salt Lake 6-5 in 10 innings Thursday at The Ballpark at America First Square in Pacific Coast League play. Manuel Castro posted three strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Chihuahuas. Raul Brito recorded a strikeout in one inning of work to secure the save for El Paso in victory. Ben Gamel and Carter Kieboom drove in two runs apiece in the loss for the Bees. Following Thursday’s results, the Chihuahuas improved to 72-62 and the Bees slumped to 58-76. The squads return to action Friday at 7:05 pm for the fourth game in the series.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Cole Jordan, Damian Stone, Christian Hall and True Fontenot each homered and the Ogden Raptors smoked Boise 13-6 in Pioneer League play Thursday at Lindquist Field. Austyn Coleman’s four strikeouts in four innings of work earned the win on the mound for Ogden in victory. Max Jung-Goldberg homered twice in the loss for the Hawks. Following Thursday’s results, the Raptors improved to 51-41 and secured at least a series split. The Hawks fell to 46-47 in the loss. The squads return to action Friday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field for the fourth game in the series.
