Lock, Lindsay lead Broncos to 27-17 win over reeling Lions

DENVER (AP)-Drew Lock (25-33, 192 yards, TD) threw a scoring strike to DaeSean Hamilton (6 rec, 65 yards, TD) on a  shovel pass and Phillip Lindsay added a 27-yard touchdown run in the 4th Quarter as the Denver Broncos overpowered the Detroit Lions 27-17 Sunday at Empower Field at Mile High. The Broncos sent the 3-11-1 Lions to their eighth consecutive loss. Lock improved to 3-1 since taking over as the Broncos’ starter December 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers. The 67 degrees at kickoff was a Broncos’ record high temperature for a home game in December.

Defensively, Dre’Mont Jones had 2 sacks for the Broncos with Malik Reed and Jeremiah Attaochu also adding sacks for Denver in the win.

The Lions were led by signal-caller David Blough (12-24, 117 yards, TD) and receiver Kenny Golladay (6 rec, 66 yards, TD). Return specialist Jamal Agnew added a 64-yard punt return for a touchdown for the Lions and Matt Prater nailed a 26-yard field goal for Detroit as well in the loss.
